Fabricator Welder

Fugro are recruiting an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our busy workshop in Falmouth. The role will involve fabrication and welding of all kinds of equipment and ancillary plants. this an exciting opportunity where you can work alongside our designengineers working on a variety of new projects and designs along with learning new skills and mentoring less experienced colleagues.

**Who you’ll be working with**:
You will be working daily with the workshop manager, supervisors, fabrication estimators, design engineers and project managers

**Here’s what a typical day would be like**:

- Welding and fabricating to given tolerance and specifications
- Proposing practical solutions in a wide variety of situations to new and existing drilling equipment and ancillary plant
- Promoting health and safety across the workshop

**Who we’re looking for**:
Essential
- 5 GCSE’s or equivalent qualification including Maths and English at grade C or above
- Extensive Welding/Fabricating experience
- Full Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 trained
- Experience in heavy fabrication work essential.
- Competent in use of overhead cranes & workshop equipment
- A current welder coding in MIG/MAG or ability to pass test in various positions.
- No objections to supporting site operations, short term & infrequent.

Desirable
- First aid trained.
- Telehandler/Forklift/Side loader trained.
- Confined space trained.
- CNC profile cutting experience.
- Experience of working in Oil & Gas/ Renewable sector advantageous.
