**Mid-Market Trading Underwriter**

Aviva are looking for a Mid-Market Underwriter to join our team You will be aligned to our New Business team to proactively develop and profitably grow, their commercial book of business

The successful applicants will be accountable for day-to-day underwriting activities and will also be using data insight to ensure we are providing whole customer solutions.

**A bit about the job**:
Your role will include dealing with New Business for brokers and customers whilst collaborating with the team to support in delivering financials. You will also be encouraged to embrace and understand Mid-Market strategy to be an active mobile underwriter, working professionally and effectively wherever you are located. There will also be opportunities to work towards underwriting licence levels as appropriate.

**Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Excellent communication, listening, time management and negotiating skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation
- Previous analysis of risks and the ability to communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers
- Experience within Trading/Commercial underwriting is desirable but not essential. Property and Liability desirable, but Motor Trade would also be advantageous
- Property and Liability underwriting experience is also desirable but not essential (Motor Trade experience would also be advantageous)
- Desirable to have good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation but not essential
