The role
This role is working within a small finance team, learning every aspect of the finance department covering all functions including payables, receivables, cost management, accounts preparation and the production of statutory accounts.

The role will include undertaking an AAT Apprenticeship in line with the scheme providers timeline and achieving work targets and assignments in line with agreed deadlines.

**The key responsibilities of the role will include**:

- Assisting budget holders with Purchase Order processing/analysis
- Importing and manipulating large volumes of carrier data, and investigating variances arising between invoiced charges and accruals within our internal systems
- Assisting the Accounts Payable function to ensure supplier payments are processed and supplier statement reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
- Assisting with Labour cost reporting and liaising with Operational budget holders on payroll & agency costs
- Providing support as required to the Management Accountant and Finance Manager

- Clear communication skills both verbal and written
- Confident relationship builder (suppliers, internal & external customers)
- Able to prioritise and manage time and work to tight deadlines
- Strong MS Office Skills; with a keen interest in Excel
- To be considered for an apprenticeship, you will need to be educated to (GCSE - level 2) or A-level (Level 3) or equivalent, with a minimum of GCSE Maths & English A*-C/9-4 grades, or equivalent.
