Alexander Daniels are recruiting a **Finance Assistant**for a growing manufacturing business based in Northamptonshire. This business is well-established within their field and boasts a diverse and flexible office environment.

The Finance Assistants duties will include:

- Support the wider team with tasks related to the production of monthly management accounts and schedules and the month end process
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable processing for SPA, including payments.
- Payroll analyses and weekly profit reporting
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis to support the Finance Manager and the wider business
- Assist with statutory annual audit preparation
- Support the budget and forecasting process
- Accruals and prepayments & journal posting
- Balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations & bank postings
- Intercompany recharges and agreement of intercompany balances
- Maintaining fixed assets register including calculation and posting of depreciation

The successful Finance Assistant must have the following:

- Demonstrable experience with exposure to an accounting/administrative role
- Proven experience of Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software systems (training provided), SAGE experience useful.
- Keen, willing & able to learn a wide range of duties
- High level of attention to detail with excellent organisation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally and with all levels of an organisation
- Self-motivated with a good work ethic and flexibility for small/medium sized organisations

This role is office based, there is flexibility in terms of start and finish times and one day a week hybrid working upon successful probationary period.
