We are working with an exclusive group of luxury care homes and retirement developments occupying beautiful locations around the country. Their aim is to improve the quality of life for older people through our thoughtfully designed developments, individualapproach and commitment to first-class care.

The Activities Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities are planned, organised, promoted and implemented in the Home for all residents.

They will be the drive towards a 'whole home approach’ to meaningful occupation. They will motivate and inspire team members in the Home to be engaged in the provision of stimulating activities for the residents. They will regularly review, revise and refreshthe planned activity opportunities and report on the impact of these activities.

The Activities Coordinator will ensure a stimulating environment is created for all residents appropriate to their needs and plan activity opportunities for all levels of interest and ability. This will include a mix of internal and external experiences.
- Manage the recruitment, induction and training of the Activities team and volunteers; ensuring training targets are met and team members are competent in their roles.
- Take overall responsibility for the supervision, appraisal and performance management of the Activities team, supporting them to achieve their potential
- Build links with and network in the local community to establish relationships with local businesses, organisations and schools
- Ensure there is always sufficient equipment available for the team to meaningfully engage and occupy residents in both planned and spontaneous activity
- Proven track record in managing, leading and/or coaching others
- Experience of planning and organising events or activities
- Experience of working and/or engaging with older people (both living with and without dementia)

**This role will require an Enhanced DBS check**

**This role is not hybrid**
