Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Associate

A leading international firm is looking for an Associate to join them in their personal injury team, based in Birmingham.
THE FIRM AND THE ROLE
They provide high quality legal advice tailored to both businesses and individuals. They have established a strong reputation in a variety of sectors, and their lawyers are recognised for their expertise in a multitude of practice areas.
Their PI Team provides proactive and practical legal support. Approachable and commercially aware, their specialists have in-depth experience of the issues faced by businesses when managing their staff. They keep clients up to date with the raft of new personal injury law and regulations.
The team is looking to recruit a Junior Associate. As a Junior Associate, you will provide legal advice and guidance to the team's Police Federation client base. This is the staff association for police officers up to the rank of Chief Inspector. You will assess the viability of claims; manage a caseload; conduct advocacy in preliminary court hearings; provide client advice; draft and review pleadings and other relevant documentation; assist the wider team; provide training to clients; and attend networking and marketing events. As you can see, this is a really varied role.
ABOUT YOU
- You will be a Qualified Solicitor with up to 3 years of PQE
- You will have strong knowledge of personal injury and/or clinical negligence law and the litigation process
