Working as part of the sustainability team, the sustainability officer will be responsible for producing, gathering, analysing, collating and reporting accurate data for a range of purposes.

The postholder will be responsible for fuel poverty across NCH, where you will receive referrals NCH teams, provide support for project delivery teams including tenant engagement, helping tenants to understand new energy systems, leasing with suppliers,supporting with existing fuel debt, attending events and referring the tenant to the correct support partners.

In addition, the postholder will;
- Be required to develop and deliver energy efficiency, fuel poverty and environmental sustainability campaigns
- Produce material in a range of formats to support events, also supporting the development and monitoring of the Environmental Sustainability Action Plan and feeding into revisions to the NCH Environmental Strategy
- Help ensure successful grant claims for both capital projects and research projects
- Work with NCC and our other partners to develop strategy for our homes, fuel poverty, energy, carbon reduction
- Stay up to date with advancements in guidance, best practice and new technology relating to environmental sustainability

Your sound understanding of, and enthusiasm for energy and sustainability issues, including fuel poverty, will be backed up by a degree or equivalent, ideally relating to buildings and construction, engineering or energy.

Above all, you will have the communication skills to share your enthusiasm for sustainability with a wide audience. We need people who share our passion for making a difference to our tenants lives, sustainability, innovation and sharing best practise.
