We have an exciting opportunity available for a **Sustainability Manager**to join our team based in our **Nottingham Head Office.** You will join us on a **full time, permanent** basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary.

**The Sustainability Manager Role**:
SLS takes its impact on the environment seriously; as part of our commitment to achieve carbon net zero by 2045, we are looking for a Sustainability Manager to join us to formalize our overall corporate objective to minimize our environmental impact.
We are looking for you to oversee the overall execution, mission, and efficacy of our sustainability program as it relates to all business functions.This includes regulatory and commercial facets, supplier and customer-facing programmes.You will alsoensure that sustainability is a driver for profitability.
**Key responsibilities will include**:
- Assesses and analyses company policies and processes to identify areas and processes where improvements can be made in accordance with our commitment to sustainability
- Develop and execute strategies and policies to address energy use, resource conservation, recycling, pollution reduction, waste elimination, transportation, education, building design and product range
- Brainstorm and identify creative ways for us to balance business obligations with the goal of respecting, supporting, and improving the local and global environments
- Propose and implement strategies to address various environmental concerns including energy use, conservation, reduction of pollution, recycling, building and facility design, and general education on sustainability
- Take ownership of the ongoing evolution of the SLS Sustainability Pledge
- Identify and showcase the products that are deemed to be compliable to the SLS Sustainability Pledge; work closely with the Product team to increase this product range
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure we have the relevant and necessary sustainability product information to support our commitment to sustainability
**What we’re looking for in our Sustainability Manager**:
- Academic qualifications in the form of relevant Bachelors/Masters degree or professional certification
- 3-5 years’ corporate/business/management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Eble to interact with small and large groups alike
- Superlative and creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Thorough and current knowledge of sustainability practices, and applicable laws and regulations
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to draft and prepare reports, presentations, and proposals before going on to present those proposals and recommendations to the board of directors, and other key stakeholders.
