**Who are we looking for?**

Due to ongoing expansion, we are looking for an experienced CNC milling machinist to join our team in Portadown to working with our UK, Irish and global clients. This is a fantastic chance to join a growing company with strong core values of Accountability, Integrity, and Service.

**Your new role**:
As CNC machinist, you will be one of our core team contributing to our development and growth within the Aerospace, Defence, Oil & Gas, Medical and Space sectors. Your main responsibilities will be:

- Operating CNC machine and ensuring its smoothly run.
- Programming/Set up and operate CNC machine. Working knowledge of Fanuc controls and manual guide eye.
- Doosan Puma 2600 Mill Turn Lathe experience preferred.
- Carry out daily H&S checks and general maintenance of machine.
- Handle materials appropriately and according to training guidelines to avoid damage to products.
- Ensure the finished goods are inspected regular and in accordance with relevant procedures, ensuring parts produced are to a high standard.
- Work within tight tolerances using measuring tools such as digital verniers, tape measures, rulers etc.
- Ability to reading from drawings is essential.
- Reporting any issues and trying to solve basic faults that may arise.
- Stack, wrap and band materials correctly on pallets prior to dispatch.
- Consistently follow health and safety rules when operating machinery and moving about the Shopfloor.
- Use personal protective equipment correctly according to guidance and training.
- Complete all job sheets for each job as required.
- General Health & safety awareness and compliance with all H&S policies and procedures.
- Undertake good housekeeping, tidying working areas.

**Experience/Qualifications**
- Previous machine/workshop experience in an Engineering environment is essential.
- Able to work using own initiative.
- Good co-ordination skills, concentration levels and organisational skills are required.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Methodical approach to work
- Role adaptability
- Speed, efficiency, and the ability to work well under pressure.
