**About the Opportunity**
Jacobs are recruiting for a professional Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor, with experience in the identification and mitigation of HSE risks. This Sellafield based HSE Advisor role reports to The Decommissioning Alliance (TDA) Joint Venture (JV) HSE Manager and functionally to Jacobs Head of HSE for Decommissioning and Regeneration Solutions. You will provide safety leadership and advice on all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) related issues in support of the JV Partners, Management Team and project workforce.

The HSE Advisor works closely with, all stakeholders to ensure compliance with Nuclear, Radiological and conventional safety legislation, guidance and industry best practice, and the active implementation of Jacobs BeyondZero® and the culture of caring, and framework requirements.

You will also provide advice, support and monitoring of the behaviours and safe systems of work within the Joint Venture and support the Client Commissioning team and Construction team, the individual will integrate and work with the Client teams..

**You will be Responsible for**:

- Providing the project with competent HSE & Radiological advice and actively supporting the implementation of Beyond Zero.
- Supporting the implementation of legislative requirements and Jacobs HSE standards in coordination with site management.
- Maintaining a proactive approach to nuclear, radiological, conventional and environmental safety at all times.
- Advising and supporting project teams on hazard identification, the preparation and implementation of safe systems of work and risk assessments.
- Monitoring compliance to HSE standards; includes monitoring and reporting to client HSE requirements; conduct scheduled field visits and inspections, recommend and follow through on corrective actions.
- Conducting HSE communications meetings with site senior management, supply chain partners, contractors and joint HSE committees, participate in client safety meetings, as required.
- Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents for root cause identification, and recommended preventive action.
- Ensuring Construction activities are undertaken in line with CDM requirements.
- Support and make regular visits to off-site offices and projects activities, ensuring HS&E procedures are embedded.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- NEBOSH General and Construction certificate and Diploma or equivalent
- Ideally Chartered Membership of e.g. IOSH or a related professional body or working towards
- Membership of IEMA e.g. PIEMA and environmental training or working towards
- Technical expertise in Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and implementation.
- Experience of working in a highly regulated regime
- Working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards and best practices.
