**We are looking for a bright, vibrant and driven Receptionist to welcome all our visitors to the home. As a Receptionist at our care home you will be the first point of contact for anyone who comes to the home. You must have a happy and cheerful disposition and be willing to go that extra mile and build up a good relationship with our residents, their families, medical professionals and future clients.**
**You’ll need to be presentable and approachable with a friendly personality. No formal qualifications are required but you will need a good telephone manner, strong communication and computer skills and a willingness to learn.**
The Role is 8.30am-5.30pm 2 days a week Mondays & Tuesdays
**Responsibilities**:
Due to the role being in the care setting the position of Receptionist with us is very varied.
- To answer the door, telephone and welcome visitors and take messages as needed
- Document any meetings, appointments, new starter trials, etc into all relevant diaries
- To attend to all matters regarding the home arriving through the post and give out as needed
- To be responsible in the first hand for dealing with residents and residents relations regarding enquires about financial matters, details or payments etc
- To maintain a clean and tidy environment in the offices and reception.
- To be responsible for the ordering and maintaining of uniform stock and uniform requests from staff.
- To maintain all relevant photocopying at the beginning of each week for the full week
- To ensure sufficient stock is available of office supplies and to order as needed.
- Write up/edit/print any documents as needed and laminate as necessary
- To file and add to the QA when necessary
- To attend staff meetings where appropriate and take minutes
- Arrange, log and invoice for resident transport and escorts
- File any ex residents and other paperwork as needed in line with the rules about retention of care records.
- Retrieve any returning residents care files from archiving as needed.
- Ensure Resident relations by providing welcome flowers, birthday cards and sympathy cards when needed
- Create and display posters for homes events in advance
- To maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times, wearing smart office wear with flat shoes
- To maintain confidentiality at all times
- To comply with regulation and procedures regarding to health and safety, fire precautions and personnel management, environmental health and infection control as specified in policies and procedures
- To comply with regulations laid down in the Residential homes act 1984 and by the local registering authority
- To undertake other duties as necessary
**Requirements**:
- You must be a professional and enthusiastic individual with a caring and supportive attitude
- Business and Administrations NVQ is desirable but not essential.
- Care Experience is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience of working in an office environment desirable.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection within a care setting.
- Health & safety in the workplace.
- A DBS and 2 references must be in place before a start date is given
