**The Opportunity**
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Operations/Technical Centre as a Risk Events Consultant. In this position you will be responsible for supporting Risk Events Governance Manager to ensure that Risk Management processes are maintained and managed effectively across Customer Services, specifically in relation to Risk Events. This is an excellent position for someone looking to continue building a career within financial services and Risk Events.
**You’ll be**:
- Ensuring that risk events (incidents) within Operations are identified and reported in line with the Risk Event Management framework and client/regulatory expectations. Closure of risk events and customer remediation is completed to quality and timeliness targets/associated SLAs are consistently met.
- Making sure Key risk event management areas are proactively monitored - new risk events are tracked with key issues understood and escalated appropriately, risk events are scoped quickly and effectively with effective remediation plans.
- Root cause analysis is effectively undertaken within Operations and robust action plans are available and delivered for overdue risk events.
- Procedure guides and other process notes are updated annually and on an ad hoc basis, as and when required. Annual risk event training is provided to Operations, as well as ad hoc training/coaching as and when required
- Supporting the Risk Events Governance Manager as and when needed, e.g. deputising at key meetings
- Have experience working within Life and Pensions
- Own exceptional communication skills, including ability to influence decisions
- Can present information in a clear, logical, and concise manner
- Have Risk and controls experience and strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Have a proven track record in Stakeholder management
