We have an exciting opportunity for a Placement Coordinator working in the Health Sciences School - which is formed of the following three divisions; Human Communication Sciences, Nursing & Midwifery and Ophthalmology & Orthoptics. This will be a busy role liaising with learners, employer partners, placement providers, and academic and clinical colleagues every day.
The Placements Co-ordinator will support the Placements Team Leader to ensure that placement provision across the Health Sciences School is carried out efficiently and that practice-learning and placements records are maintained to a high-level of accuracy. You will also deputise for the placements team leader.
Working closely with the Placements Team leader and in collaboration with administrative and academic colleagues across the Health Sciences School, the Placement Co-ordinator will support students and placement providers through all aspects of the placement process, and in doing so play your part in seeking to maximise the number of students benefiting from a professional training experience.
Day to day you will be handling student and staff enquiries, maintaining accurate student information, and supporting academic staff in the delivery of professional training.
