**Overview**
- You will be part of a team that develops, manages and improves the effective organisation of our taught programmes and related student procedures. You will ensure policies and processes across the student journey are clear and straightforward, meet regulatory requirements, are consistently applied and deliver educational excellence.
- As a key member of the school’s Education and Student Experience Team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to coordinate and deliver a student-centred, placement experience.

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Lead the annual cycle of planning, coordination and effective administrative delivery of the placement, assessment, progression and feedback practices in accordance with university guidelines and deadlines.
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of examination boards, including the management of marks, feedback release, assessment and progression boards; logístical arrangements, preparation of data and documentation, and liaising with the relevant External Examiners and School staff.
- Ensure Learning Support Plans, including Exam Support Adjustments (ESAs) are understood and implemented, working with colleagues from across the School, Faculty and University as required.
- Oversee the delivery of student attendance requirements, to ensure the School complies with all statutory requirements whilst supporting students to successfully complete their studies, in line with the University Student Attendance Monitoring policy
- Ensure staff and students receive clear information in relation to assessment and placement allocations, leading on communications as required.
- Work with colleagues to proactively identify students who may be struggling to engage, allowing early identification of issues, and taking action to support reengagement. Advising on student progression through the curriculum, signposting to Central or School Services when required
- Understand the GMC requirements on Professional Behaviours and Fitness to Practice, supporting departmental investigation of cases and writing referrals to the Faculty Fitness to Practise Committee.
- In collaboration with the relevant Trusts and CTT, ensure rooms students are allocated to all placement and teaching events: determining student groupings; checking and resolving clashes; and working with central external colleagues (e.g. facilities support services Trusts, GPs, community groups ) to address any issues relating to the use of teaching and placement timetables
- Delegate to, and supervise colleagues in the wider team, as required, in order to ensure effective overall delivery of timetabling, placement and education activities.
- Support the wider team to take forward relevant education, assessment, and curriculum related projects and activities as required to ensure that the School is able to deliver the full remit of its responsibilities in a timely and effective manner
- Undertake analysis, reporting and problem resolution of placement quality and student voice issues that are related to placements.
- Develop, liaise and maintain contact with partners in Faculty, the wider University and with all NHS partners engaged in teaching medical students to ensure service provision, maintaining an awareness of national policies relating to student support in Medical Schools
