**Overview**
- As a key member of the Education and Student Experience Team you will support the work of the Placements Team within the School of Allied Health Professions, Nursing & Midwifery You will play a key role in coordinating and organising the placement activity for specific course areas ensuring placement provision is carried out efficiently whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. You will also work with the wider team to support other lifecycle activities and will support quality and compliance across the programmes and be required to deputise for the placement team leader.

You will have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to act with discretion and diplomacy to deal with confidential queries/material. Excellent team working skills are required, the ability to analyse and solve problems, prioritise and organise your own workload and work autonomously. You will require excellent IT and communication skills, be flexible, and have the ability to undertake to plan and progress work activities working with numerous partner organisations across the country. This will be a busy role liaising with learners, employer partners, placement providers, and academic and clinical colleagues every day.

**Main duties and responsibilities**- Engage with the placement software system and promote its use with both students, placement providers and academic staff.-
- Meet student cohorts, attend course national meetings and proactively engage with new providers for the purposes of securing placements.-
- Allocate students appropriately, building and maintaining and growing relationships with students, academics and providers.-
- Ensure quality assurance guidance and health and safety compliance is adhered to, liaising with the appropriate academics to meet programme requirements.-
- Request and collate placement offers from relevant providers/employers. Responding to queries, identifying shortfalls and proactively gaining additional offers as necessary.-
- Allocate students according to required course regulations, maintaining accurate details records, updating all relevant documentation as required and in accordance with relevant regulations.-
- Work with with Disability Liaison Officers to ensure that placements adhere to any necessary student needs and informing providers/employers accordingly in line with GDPR.-
- Monitor and check audit validity, practice supervisor and assessor roles, reporting and liaising with academics to ensure their completion.-
- Support the assessment process by receiving and recording assessments and feedback for appropriate courses, chasing and feeding back to both students and academics appropriately.-
- Create, support and monitor the evaluation of student placements and feedback to providers/employers.-
- Monitor and record student’s placement hours.-
- Support the provision of reporting both internally and externally.-
- Raise purchase orders.-
- Work on own initiative, flexibly and largely unsupervised; as well as collaboratively and part of the wider team, providing cover for other teams as required.-
- Support student travel claims and UKVI reporting and quality compliance reporting activities.-
- Support colleagues in the wider team, service meetings and other duties commensurate with the grade and post.-
