Er Technical Specialist

**Purpose**
You will be working within the ER CoE reporting into the ER, Policy and Advice Lead. The ER Specialist, Policy and Compliance will lead on the relationship with employee engagement networks - ERB and Union, and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements practice and policy is maintained. The ER Specialist, governance and compliance will support the development of the team of ER Consultants and where appropriate the HR function, In for example, legislative change, policy and union relationship.
**What you'll be doing**:
- You will develop and manage the relationship with the ER, Policy & Advice Lead for the UK Employee Representative Body and Union.
- You will lead on embedding the union relationship with the People and Talent Partner and business stakeholders, including responsible for ensuring compliance with collective agreement and pay negotiation strategy.
- You will contribute and provide insight to both squad work from within the Change Hub and also broader projects where ER SME technical expertise is required (e.g. acquisitions and organisational change).
- You will lead on establishing and maintaining records ensuring version controls for both policy reviews and organisational change activities including responsible for the completion and submission of HR1’s where appropriate.
- You will ensure risk management is integral to all activities and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and all Insurance governance procedures, including effective recording of case details.
- Where required, you will refer to the ER, Policy & Advice Lead or business area as appropriate, either for information and/or to provide insight on trends that are being seen from within the business, identify issues or opportunities for improvement and make recommendations, using data from a range of sources.
- You will remain curious and keep up to date with internal and external developments in the field of Policy and Employment in order to continuously benchmark and adopt best practice.
- You will support the development of the ER Consultants team to develop and nurture a high performing team.
- You will work proactively with leadership in the ER CoE and key HR and Business stakeholders to identify opportunities where coaching is required to build people leader and team capability.
- You will build strong relationships with the wider HR team to provide a ‘one HR’ approach
- You will seek opportunities to build commercial understanding of the wider business.
