Quality Assurance Operative

Day Shift (6am to 2.30pm)
**Scope of the role**
To assist in enforcing Technical requirements across the Wrights Food Group (Confectionery) including working closely with other members of the QA teams and factory management team, ensuring Factory Product Specifications are in place and are being adhered to, Food Safety, Food Legality, Factory Hygiene Standards, assisting in external and customer specific audits, helping to investigate customer complaints, customer compliance standards, assisting in internal / customer KPI expectations.
- Help to deliver a safe working environment for all employees, visitors and contractors across the factory by enforcing the WFG Health & Safety Policy and raising the awareness of Health & safety across all teams.
- Ensuring all due diligence requirements are met within the factory (by completion of daily QA reports and departmental checks).
- The operative must inspect, sign off and file all production paperwork as required.
- As part of the QA team you must ensure all weekly calibrations on Scales, Thermometers and Fridge and Freezers are completed.
- Completion of daily organoleptic testing on Confectionery products.
- Assisting in external and customer specific audits.
- QA operatives are required to complete Chemical titration checks on all documented testing points.
- As part of the quality team operatives will ensure products are manufactured to the required individual product specification and quality standard.
- Operatives will gather and submit micro samples of Confectionery Products in line with the company procedure, along with the other members of the QA team you will also be responsible for completing environmental swabbing, water sampling and air plates to the designated weekly schedules in place.
- High level of IT skills (MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint/ Outlook) along with Sound numerical, communication and negotiation skills. Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently at times, inspire, and motivate in a team. Energy, drive, and determination to succeed.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal colleagues.
