**Salary**: £25k
**Hours**: 37 hours p/week, Mon - Thurs 9am - 5:30pm, Fri 9am - 5pm
**Location**: Kearsley, M26 1GG (We can offer hybrid working)
As Europe's largest Dental care provider, our network of 600+ dental practices are home to more than 3,000 talented clinicians and over 6000 employees across the UK.Due to company growth we are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our established HR team.
**The role**
The main purpose of this role is to provide commercial, swift and robust first level advice. To ensure that managers are acting within the scope of policy and procedure and providing commercial solutions to employee relations issues.
**Key Accountabilities**
- To be the first point of contract for cases and to subsequently review and triage cases appropriately
- To provide first level advice relating to short term absence management, AWOL performance. Minor misconduct and any other relevant query
- Proactively manage the AWOL process from start to finish
- Manage the short-term absence tracker and consultation tracker
- Prepare investigation packs and invitation letters for disciplinary hearings
- Gather and organise due diligence documentation for TUPE transfers
- Provide note taking support at formal meetings
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of employment legislation
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with managers and employees
**What skills do I need?**
- Ability to deal with issues and identify risk
- Ability to influence at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of employment legislation
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Good IT skills including word and excel
- Has a continuous improvement mindset
- Commercially and customer focussed
- Able to prioritise and respond flexibly to changing demand
- Full UK Driving Licence
**Anything else I should know?**
This role may involve attendance at appropriate meetings and so some travel may be required across our practices
