Family-owned since 1998, CG Fixings has become one of the UK's largest tool distributors - and we're still growing. As an ever-expanding business, we are looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join our team. This is a full time, permanent position with a starting salary between £20,995 and £21,500 per annum dependant on your previous experience and qualifications.

Your normal working week will be Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**

As a Customer Service Advisor, you will assist in providing advice and guidance to our customers, supporting them in making purchases and with after-sales care, developing a culture of customer satisfaction through the timely and thorough handling of enquiries.

You will be an integral part of a high-performing team and you will primarily be expected to:

- Investigate and resolve any customer complaints with patience and empathy, always aiming to reach resolution at first point of contact
- Maintain thorough and accurate customer service records through the use of CRM software
- Communicate with customers about their orders, including any delays or changes in delivery
- Help customers to register online and process their orders through our website
- Check product availability for customer orders, offering suitable substitutes for out of stock items where appropriate.

We are looking for adaptable and enthusiastic team players who enjoy working efficiently and methodically, both alone and as part of a team. You will be the voice of our organisation, and as such this role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals for whom attention to detail and the determination to see tasks through to completion are core competencies. With the requirement to meet deadlines and to deliver at pace, it is important that you have the organisational skills and the ability to effectively prioritise your workload. Although this job description outlines your main duties, flexibility and adaptability are key.

**Skills and Experience**

Essential:

- Previous experience of working in a customer focused environment.
- Willing to go the extra mile for each and every customer
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Confidence and the ability to establish common ground, remain calm under pressure and work towards positive outcomes
- The ability to relate to customers with empathy and respect through clear and effective communication

Desirable:

- Experience of working towards and exceeding targets
- Experience using and maintaining customer records using CRM software
- Industry experience would be beneficial but is certainly not a requirement.
