We have a fabulous job opportunity for you to join our ambitious and hard-working team in our sparkly new role of Community Housing Assistant. Your role in a nutshell, is to work as part of our Reading housing management team to deliver brilliant services toour customers.
It’s not just about providing customers with a home, it’s about building relationships with them. This means that when it comes to those situations that are a bit difficult or tricky (which do happen from time to time), we make them easier to deal with.
We collect rent, chase arrears, fill empty properties, manage estates and deal with anti-social behaviour, but it’s so much more than that.It’s also about working closely and collaborating with colleagues and external partners to make sure that when customersneed our support, we can help them.
As a Community Housing Assistant, you’ll support our Housing Managers by carrying out generic Housing Management activities including arrears, void management, estate management, customer involvement, income management, lettings and other related tasks. You’llalso work towards meeting challenging targets and support our all-important routine safety and compliance checks and record them in a timely and accurate fashion, and signpost customers to our Customer Service Centre.
**About you**
You're passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a genuine desire to help your customers. You’re a real collaborator, working with colleagues in your region, external partners as well as our Customer Service Centre colleagues, and ourHousing Managers.
You’ll use your creative spark and keen eye for detail to ensure our properties and environments are safe secure and well managed, supporting our communities to thrive. Naturally empathetic, you build rapport quickly and have a sound understanding of maintainingconfidentiality and professional boundaries.
It will also be brilliant if you understand housing management, housing law and universal credit too
