Working with partners, including the UK’s top property companies you will be at the forefront of shaping how Internet/Wireless real estate, commercial building infrastructureis built across the UK. This role will suit a person who thrives in a busy start-up environment and who can support and manage multiple small network, telecoms projects **Main Tasks & Responsibilities**: **The Operations Engineer, Project Support, Telecoms will**: > The primary responsibility will be to drive the completion of Building’s Internet/Wireless Connectivity Certifications across the UK. This will include: ~ Auditing the infrastructure and internet connectivity of commercial property/buildings being certified. ~ Creating and developing clear reports detailing a building’s infrastructure and internet connectivity. ~ Working with and training third party engineers to audit buildings and produce reports. ~ Engaging with our clients’ engineers, architects and advisors to undertake D&R Certification. ~ Advising our clients (landlords and agents) about cutting edge thinking on telecommunications and opportunities for improvement. > Drive partnerships with telecommunications companies across the UK, with the ultimate goal of strengthening both the Buildings Internet/Wireless Certification programme and future business lines. This will involve forming relationships with fibre providersand ISP’s > Support Business Development work from a technical perspective. > Help shape the future of the Company by being an active participant in strategy thinking about innovative future business lines. **Essential Skills & Experience** **The Operations Engineer, Project Support, Telecoms will**: > A balance of business operations, industry, network & telecoms technical knowledge, coupled with excellent communication skills and analytical skills. > At least 2 years of experience in telecommunications/network engineering, where you will have developed project management skills to be able to balance multiple activities and clients at the same time > Relevant telecommunications and network engineering know-how > Familiarity with outside plant and in-property network design > Ability to interpret building floor plans and telecom diagrams > Wireless knowledge a plus (Ethernet) > Electrical (AC/DC) knowledge a plus > Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to identify/define and solve problems > Desire to work in high-growth, start-up-like culture and a passion for innovating in the property connectivity space. > Relationship building skills, thoughtfulness and determination. > Bright, creative thinking and team players who can independently work and lead no matter what challenges appear.
