Role Description

This is a contract role for a SecOps Engineer based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The role is hybrid, allowing for partial work-from-home flexibility. The SecOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to protect IT infrastructure and data in context of AI applications, performing risk assessments, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with security policies. The role also involves AI system monitoring, vulnerability analysis, and contributing to the development of security tools and processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, risk assessments, and incident management
  • Proficiency in system monitoring, threat detection, and vulnerability management
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
  • Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and containerization technologies
  • Knowledge of compliance standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, or SOC 2
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience
