Health & Safety Advisor - Part-time

**The Opportunity**
At Greens, there are real opportunities for rapid advancement as the company continues to grow and expand its geographical coverage and scope of services. The work can be hard but is varied, challenging and rewarding - with no two days likely to be the same. We are looking for individuals aiming to build on their experience in H&S to join us as a H&S Advisor. The role will be based from home and from our Leicestershire office.
**The Advisor Role**
To produce professional safety documents such as risk assessments, method statements and health & safety policies. Also to assist clients to achieve compliance with contractor assessment schemes.
To request records from clients, produce safety documents including accident statistics, safety templates and training records.
The completion of accreditation scheme questionnaires.
Uploading documents on to accreditation scheme portals and/or give clients all information for them to forward to an assessor.
Visit premises and sites to discuss and establish clients’ requirements recognising and, where appropriate, selling them additional services.
Maintain a positive working relationship with clients.
Attending premises and sites to complete inspections and produce reports following the inspections.
Begin and maintain continuous professional development and professional memberships.
**General Administration**:
Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues.
To provide administrative support for colleagues and the business by answering the telephone and passing on messages to the relevant person.
Manage an electronic and paper diary.
Manage the workload, including ensuring clients’ deadlines are met.
Attend meetings to support other members of staff (including occasional breakfast and evening).
**Other Duties**:
Carry out other duties appropriate to the post as required by the Director to help ensure the smooth running of the office and client satisfaction.
Helping clients with the compilation and implementation of an environmental management system (ISO14001).
Helping clients with the compilation and implementation of a quality management system (ISO9001).
Helping clients with the compilation and implementation of a safety management system (ISO 45001).
**Person Specification**
**Skills and Experience**:
Relevant safety qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in health & safety.
12 months health & safety management
Excellent IT skills, in particular with the use of Word, Excel and Outlook.
Excellent engagement and advisory skills and the ability to relate to, work with and motivate clients and their employees.
Ensuring work is produced accurately with particular attention to detail and clarity.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
**Character Traits**:
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, keen to learn and willing to take on additional responsibilities. They must have a sound work ethic and work methodically and meticulously with a concern for order.
They must also ensure client confidentiality is maintained and comply with all aspects of the Data Protection Act 2018 and company policies and procedures.
This role is flexible, and we are open to discussion regarding hours and days worked.
The salary of £22,000 - £28,000 pa is pro rata to hours worked.
