THE ROLE

You will play a key part within the Finance team by ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations across both the purchase and sales ledgers and cash book transactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading credit control through excellent partnerships with external and internal teams
- Work with finance assistants to support verifying and scheduling supplier invoices for weekly payment run including all supplier and creator payments across the group
- Uploading weekly payment run to the bank ready for authorisation
- Processing of payments, up to agreed level, approving those within sign off levels and coordinating approvals for bigger payments
- Oversee daily bank reconciliations to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Deal with escalated enquiries from suppliers and liaise with colleagues in other departments; investigate discrepancies and errors on invoices and resolve queries.
- Oversee onboarding supplier and customers details into company systems and generally keeping the accounts information clean.
- Carry out weekly data validity checks on all posting and new master data
- Maintain clean ledgers, reviewing ageing reports and providing appropriate commentary and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
- Close Accounts Payable and Receivable Ledger at month end.
- Provide information to MA Team on invoices that need to be accrued in the accounts at month end if not posted to Suppliers accounts in the relevant month.
- Cash flow Forecast Reporting - Produce weekly report showing future creditors payments

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Part qualified/QBE accountant (Minimum AAT qualified) (further study support available)
- Minimum 3 year experience working in a finance function
- An enthusiastic approach to working in finance with a keen eye for detail
- Competent using Microsoft Excel/Google Docs
- Experience in Xero is desirable
