**Job overview**:
Transformation of community mental health services requires the expansion of services to provide trauma-informed care and wider access to psychologically informed interventions and NICE recommended psychological therapies.

We need an enthusiastic CBT supervisor to deliver and supervise CBT and contribute to the training, supervision and oversight of our second and third cohort of Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner (MHWP’s). The successful applicant will join two existing CBT therapists already in post.

A Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner (MHWP) is a new NHS England role, designed to support collaborative care planning, alongside other members of the multi-disciplinary team, and to deliver a set of brief, wellbeing-focused psychologically informed interventions (not therapy), e.g. behavioural activation and graded exposure, problem-solving, improving sleep, recognising and managing emotions, guided self-help for bulimia and binge-eating, confidence building and support with medicines management. As well as improving support for service users, this role should build capacity in teams to enable more experienced staff to focus on delivery of psychological therapies or to train in psychological therapies.

**Main duties of the job**:
To deliver and supervise CBT in community teams, including training, and contribute to the training, supervision and oversight of our growing workforce of Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner (MHWP’s). Clinical work will be with people on the caseload of the CMHT's.

The post-holder will receive regular clinical supervision from either a registered psychologist or senior CBT practitioner, and line management. They will be supported to develop their skills further.

For the supervision of the MHWP’s, the post-holder will be supported through a nationally funded short training course.

**Working for our organisation**:
We’re an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people’s physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

We are a people organisation and people matter to us. As part of the team, you'll help support the health and wellbeing
