North Northamptonshire Council have a great opportunity for a **Business Relations Officer** to join and support our Commissioning Team.
The commissioning team is a small dedicated, friendly team that is passionate about ensuring high quality services for vulnerable people within North Northamptonshire Council.
We are looking for an organised and flexible individual to join our growing team. The BRO role will support our Commissioning and Quality functions with administrative and project support to enable the effective commissioning of services and market engagement.
You will be required to have regular communication with external providers and organising and administering a range of meetings (including events) as well as the day to day admin support for the wider team.
**Overall Purpose of the Job**:
- To provide a high level of flexible support to the senior managers and colleagues and to ensure the provision of timely and accurate information to relevant team members in support of the Adult Social Care team’s process.

**Salary**: £21,522 - £22,175
**Location**: Haylock House, Kettering
**Main Accountabilities**:
- To establish and maintain effective systems and processes to enable the collection and management of data and documentation on behalf of the team.
- To support benchmarking and market research activities to help inform commissioning processes.
- To effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders to organise, advertise and administer a range of meetings and events.
- To become the key point of contact for the team, providing and exchanging information to internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.
- To develop reporting and analysis of a range of information to help inform decision making and develop market intelligence.
- To support a variety of engagement exercises including the administration of surveys, consultation meetings etc.
- To support with management of projects, including regular updating of documents, plans and outstanding activities.
- To develop effective, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the work of the team.
- To use a range of software to effectively support the teams activities and duties.
- To demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people’s behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs.
**About You**:
- Good level of general education to GCSE standard.
- Appropriate level of data protection, security and confidentiality awareness.
- Ability to demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people’s behaviour, physical, social and welfare needs.
- Experience of working within a pressured environment using prioritisation to handle conflicting demands.
- Experience of procedure development, documentation and implementation. Experience of data analysis to solve business problems and of presenting the results in a relevant way.
- Experience of working with confidential data and understand the importance of maintaining this.
- Knowledge of Adult social care/health systems/services is desirable.
- Experience of working in a local authority or other public sector organisation.
- Good communication skills (face to face, telephone and written) with a strong customer focus.
- Attention to detail, delivering work that is accurate and relevant Ability to take a systematic approach to tasks and problem solving.
- Ability to take a proactive approach, identifying tasks that need to be undertaken without needing instruction.
- Ability to demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people’s behaviour, physical, social and welfare needs.
- Ensure that reasonable care is taken at all times for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and other persons, and to comply with the policies and procedures relating to health and safety within the department.
