At Carers First, we understand that caring can be hard, but believe getting the right help shouldn’t be. We work directly with and for, unpaid carers to provide personalised information, advice and support. Making it easier for those caring for someone else to continue living their lives to the fullest.
We are currently seeking a Young Carer Support Adviser, funded by the Young Londoners Fund (Mayor’s Fund), to join our team in the London Borough of Newham. The requirements of the role will include, providing high quality information and support to young carers, including 1-1 conversations, groups, activities and co-producing personal action plans to support them with their caring role.
To be successful you will have at least 1 years’ experience working with children or young people. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of young carers and their issues and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will need to have flexibility to work outside of normal working hours to meet the needs of young carers.
