Position: Senior Administrator (Manufacturing / Retail)
Location: St Albans, Herts (Office based position)

**Salary**: £27,000 to £32,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm

Trainee Product Developer:

- Do you have previous buying experience, or have an interest in working within a successful 'Buying Department'

Job Details:
The Product Developer will be responsible for supporting and working with the Junior Designer & Technical Team to launch new product ranges, primarily sportswear, as well as providing administrative support to the Buying & Sourcing Team alongside the Buyer.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for sample development, managing sourcing sheets & critical path. Ensuring day-to-day follow up with factories & suppliers is actioned and relevant teams are kept up to date.
- Maintaining swatch book library and sourcing new fabrics with a focus on sustainability.
- Support sign off for new products/sportswear ranges. Ensure Technical Packs are correct for the factory & the Merchandising team.
- Provide the Merchandising team with all relevant product detail; Technical Packs, Visuals & Cost prices to ensure orders are raised accurately and
- efficiently.
- Support fit process.
- Support of packaging developments.
- Handle all submissions, bulks & lab dips and ensuring comments are sent on time.
- Ensure product quality is kept up to standard.
- Have a good technical understanding of all industry fabric.
- Provide support to the Buying Manager/Technical Team to ensure all factories are following company guidelines.
- Provide administrative support to the Buying/Sourcing team, as required.

General
- Be an effective communicator and pass on essential information to management & other areas of the business.
- Be able to provide information to Senior Management (CEO) quickly & concisely when required.
- Be a key supportive member within a growing team & business.
- Be willing to learn & adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- To complete any other reasonable tasks as required by the management team.

Job Requirements.
- Experience in buying and/or product development, ideally experienced working on clothing, although not essential
- Technical Fabric knowledge desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with a systematic approach to working.
- Capability of working on multiple projects in parallel & prioritising own workload.
- Experience working to a Product Development/Production calendar and tight deadlines.
- Ability to cope under pressure to meet the demand of the business.
- Experience of working closely with manufacturers in development
