HR Services Senior Consultant

**Purpose**:
Working within HR Delivery function and reporting into the HR Services People Lead. You will be a respected role model, coach and mentor to a hybrid team of HR Service Support Consultants, supporting our colleagues with a high-volume of transactional queries and administrative tasks, assisting them through their colleague lifecycle. You will continuously focus on driving great quality control and standards within our HR risk framework and legal obligations.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Alongside the HR Services People Lead actively seek opportunities to drive team performance, productivity and development.
- Act as the coach and mentor to the HR Services team, sharing technical knowledge, providing regular feedback.
- Facilitate and encourage HR Services Consultants to grow their skills and seek opportunities for their own personal growth, use own technical expertise and SME knowledge to upskill and develop the HR Support Team.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the HR Services Team; managing resource, triaging work and being a ‘go to’ for wellbeing conversations.
- Being a case escalation point for the HR Services Consultants, troubleshooting complex transactional queries.
- Be a role model, leading the way on our organisational values.
- Where appropriate, deputise for the HR Services People Lead.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records on the required HR systems for all queries.
- Maintain and update the Self-Serve Portal content.
- Monitor and champion the team’s query SLA levels.
- Using a range of data sources, proactively produce meaningful MI, to analyse the type of queries sent to the HR Services team.
- Identify trends, suggesting efficient ways to optimise internal processes whilst helping support decision-making.
- Carry out internal and external audit/compliance activity relevant to the HR Services team.
- Liaise with wider HR and business users, seeking opportunities to continuously improve our self-service resources/tools for all colleagues and build people leader capability.
- Work collaboratively with the ER CoE to understand trends, themes and opportunities to grow the skills and craft in the HR Services Team.
- Highlight and influence the broader implications or impact of issues, actions and potential solutions, on HR Delivery, HR or the business.
- Parachute into change activity and projects, acting as a SME on HR transactional processes and compliance.
**What you'll need**:
- Strong administration and IT skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy and trusted to access confidential data.
- Continuously looking to improve customer service.
- Ability to meet demanding deadlines and time scales in a fast-paced environment
**Ways of Working**:
This role requires you to work a minimum of 4 days across the working week with the expectation that you would be in our Leeds office one day a week.
