**Research Assistant**
- **Home based (national travel occasionally expected)**:

- **Monday to Friday (9am - 5pm), permanent position**:

- **£23,000 - £28,000 based on experience**

Thrive designs and develops therapeutic software to prevent, detect and manage mental health conditions. We use proven therapeutic interventions in clinical practice, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and combine them with games and game dynamicsto maximise engagement. Our aim is to improve the world’s mental health and make therapy more accessible, affordable and engaging, empowering people with the tools to self-manage their conditions.

**About the role**:
As Research Assistant, the successful applicant will report to the Research Scientist, forming an integral part of the multidisciplinary research team.

The primary responsibility of the role is to contribute towards the day-to-day operation of current research projects, including participant recruitment and trial management.

The role assists with planning and delivering new research projects and, with an understanding of quantitative and qualitative methods, assists with data analysis.

The Assistant conducts research and contributes to publications and other research outputs and is involved in national and international dissemination activities (including conferences).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Contributing to research projects from design to write-up
- Participant recruitment and data collection
- Conducting data annotation/labelling and regular literature reviews
- Assisting in developing study research instruments
- Contributing to dissemination of research outputs through publications and conferences
- Contributing to original research ideas and proposals for external funding
- Maintaining professional development and contributing to Thrive's research culture.

**About You**:

- Qualifications and Experience:_
- Master's degree in neuroscience, psychology, social sciences, public health, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience setting up and managing individual and collaborative research projects with strong organizational skills
- Experience with scientific writing
- Knowledge of statistics
- Experience with qualitative research is desirable
- Skills and Attributes:_
- Excellent communication (oral and written), analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding commitment to high-quality work, keen interest in the research topic, and attention to detail
- Scientific programming experience (Python, RStudio) or willingness to learn.
