System Improvement Lead, Band 8D
18-month secondment/18-month fixed term contract.
NHS England and NHS Improvement North West and North East and Yorkshire System Improvement Team
We are looking for an exceptional individual to join us as a Senior Improvement Lead working across both NHS Regions in the North of England with the pan North System Improvement Team. You will have a passion for improvement and have a very high level of skill and experience in this field, with significant and advanced training in improvement science and significant experience of building strong partnerships and system-based approaches to improvement. We are looking for a proactive, astute, driven, flexible and determined individual who can support the ambition of our Integrated Care Systems, our Places, and our Provider Collaboratives to meet the improvement challenge ahead. We are looking for individuals who have strong track record of improvement delivery, who clearly demonstrates leadership qualities, and who will be seen as inspirational and engaging by all our partners.
You will lead on the delivery of a range of high impact changes with a specific focus on improving patient flow and the quality of the patient journey across our services. You will work to develop local capability to ensure sustainable improvement longer term and you will be required to work closely with many different organisations to deliver this.
You will also be expected to provide and support improvement training bringing with you your skills and experience to enhance delivery.
You will be a motivated self-starter able to design and lead a defined range of improvement work streams. You will have experience of working with senior executive teams across a range of organisations, in delivering large
- and small-scale improvement programmes. You will possess excellent organisational and communication skills.
The role covers both NHS Regions in the North of England but with a specific lead focus in the North West. You will be expected to travel across the region and provide onsite support where required.
