1. Job Purpose
- To ensure the efficient operation of the weighbridge and administration system, whilst keeping specific, accurate records in line with company policies and procedures.
- To assist the Unit Manager with maintaining compliance with statutory, regulatory, legislative, BMS and corporate requirements.
- To provide a point of contact and liaison for customers, contractors and visitors.

3. Health and Safety Responsibilities

Full accountability to take all reasonable steps to prevent any event that could cause health, safety or environmental harm. Full authority to contact any Leadership Management (LMM) member on a pressing health, safety and environmental matter.

4. Accountabilities
- To accurately carry out weighbridge operation and administration, ensuring all waste reception procedures are followed and information provided as per legislation.
- To instruct and direct visiting customers to the correct area, acting as site control and ensuring customers are following site rules when entering site.
- To maintain records and filing, both in hard copy and electronically, whilst reviewing the organisation of shared drives.
- To assist in the administration of documentation such as waste returns, daily logs, weighbridge records, rules register and booking lists.
- Undertake auditing of weighbridge functions to include reconciliation of manual tickets, daily ticket audits, amended tickets and cash handling. Carry out system health checks quarterly.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Remain aware at all times of your responsibilities for your own H&S and for the H&S of others. Please refer to the H&S policy available on the Hub for further details on your specific responsibility.
- Ensuring compliance with all company procedures.
- Accurate Weighbridge/Gatehouse operation and maintenance.
- Ensure the waste acceptance procedure is followed and reacting to non-compliant wastes accordingly.
- Compile reports in a timely manner.
- Manual handling of documents and records.
- You may be required to work hours outside of your contract to provide sickness/holiday cover.
- Any other duties that are reasonable and commensurate with the post.

**EE1**: Admin/Support background.
