We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team, working 7am -3pm on a 2 week rota basis.

Week 1 -Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun

Week 2, Wed, Thurs, Fri

**Duties**
- To assist the cook in preparation of a healthy diet to the residents within the home.
- Prepare and serve food & drink required for breakfast.
- Prepare vegetables as required for the daily meals.
- Undertake cleaning duties within the kitchen and dining area as required.
- Wash up as required during preparation of a meal.
- Assist the cook with light duties.
- Lay the tables, prepare the trays and trolleys.
- Participate in any training as required.
- Dispose of waste appropriately.
- Be prepared to cover Cook role during sickness and ansence.

**Requirements for Kitchen Assistant role**:

- Transferrable DBS Certificate is preferable but not essential
- More than 1 years experience working in a care home environment as a Kitchen Assistant is preferable but not essential
- Food Hygiene Level 2 required
- You MUST be able to demonstrate that you have the skills and experience to perform well in this role.
- To possess good manners and a flexible approach
- Ability to communicate on all levels
