Digital Content Writer

**What we're after**:
This is an exciting opportunity for a content writer join a successful digital agency based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. We are a small but expanding agency, and the person recruited will be given the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects and activities across the studio.

But we’re also looking for someone interested in the wider digital industry, with an understanding of different types of content, SEO, and a creative flair that will help you deliver outstanding websites and marketing projects for our clients.

All levels of experience will be considered - whether you have experience in a senior content role with elements of content management and strategy, or are just a great writer ready to get stuck in and learn new things, we want to hear from you. The exact role can and indeed will change to suit you and your skills. Writing talents (please send us a portfolio - details below) and being the right fit for the studio are the most important things to us.

**The role will entail**:

- Joining the content team of a busy web development and digital marketing agency.
- Writing a range of copy across different formats and topics.
- Content design and population for website projects - translating written copy to the screen in an accessible, intuitive and creative way.
- Sub-editing writing by clients and other members of the team.
- Maintaining client relationships and developing new ones.
- A background in writing - preferably a degree in an English or Journalism discipline, although this isn’t essential.
- Some experience in the digital industry - whether in-house or in an agency. Again, this isn’t essential.
- A keen eye for detail, able to spot spelling mistakes and grammatical errors in their own work, as well as in others.
- A basic understanding of SEO, and the role copywriting plays in it.
- An eye for design, and an understanding of the best ways to present and lay out content.
- The ability to adapt, improvise and learn new things quickly.
- Great communication skills and plenty of initiative.
