**Job description**

This is an exciting time to join one of the regions’ fastest growing, specialist roofing merchants. As the company continues to grow, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing and yard activities.

Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager, you shall ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations.

**Job Role**:

- **Manage the day-today running of the Warehouse E-Commerce Operations**
- Monitor and manage to completion the daily workload of customer orders received via the E-Commerce channels.
- Ensure orders are picked, labelled and despatched on-time and in full whilst meeting internal and external metrics.
- Contribute to the resolution of matters that directly or indirectly impact sales, profitability or meeting internal or external metrics.
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance.
- Organise and maintain the warehouse’s inventory and storage areas.
- Ensure a high level of accuracy in the receipt, shipping and inventory transactions.
- Manage stock takes as required within specified time frames.
- **Manage the day-to-day running of the Yard Operations**
- Manage an extraordinary level of service to the trade counter; organising the picking team effectively, ensuring all customers are served quickly, and efficiently, whilst maintaining a high level of customer engagement.
- Fulfil the pick and pack demand to meet the Transport Manager’s delivery schedule, on time and in full.
- Ensure the error free fulfilment of all customer orders.
- Manage a busy goods inwards department, delivering receipt of materials directly to the warehouses and the yard.
- Timely loading of area sales deliveries onto the Transport Manager’s vehicles, working in close partnership with the drivers.
- Manage stock takes as required within specified time frames.
- **Develop your team, performance improvements & processes**
- Lead, motivate and develop your team to deliver the companies vision, mission and core values.
- Lead process improvements and error reduction initiatives.
- Develop a dynamic and flexible team, each capable of performing all warehouse & yard functions.

You will have a positive outlook, the determination and self-discipline to manage your busy workload and team. Ideally you will have 2-5 years’ experience gained from working within a similar role/environment.

Experience with Khaos Control Inventory and Warehousing software would be highly advantageous although not essential, training shall be provided.
