We are working with one of the UK's top trade retailers which is going through a significant period of growth. Despite there being a global pandemic, this business had its best year in 2021 with sales circa 2.1b and their tech team continues to grow. This isan exciting opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their Infrastructure team.
**What you will be doing**:

- Provide firmware and hardware implementation and support for IS Infrastructure.
- Participate in IT Projects, implement approved designs and transition change into BAU.
- Implement, manage, and provide 3rd line support for a wide range of Infrastructure hardware including their VMware estate, servers & storage arrays.

**What experience you will need**:

- Expertise in VMWare & server infrastructure.
- Experience in enterprise storage.
- Advanced knowledge of Backup and recovery tools.
- Knowledge of the Linux operating system.
- Analytical approach with good fault-finding skills.
- Orchestration, automation, and scripting.
- A track record of continuous service improvement.
- Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal - including developing and delivering presentations to a variety of audiences.
- Highly organised and decisive with good prioritisation skills to balance key priorities.
- Any knowledge of VMWare VRealize is advantageous.
