Here at Oaks Vet Centre, we are looking for a professional and friendly receptionist to become a key member of our team. This role will be predominantly based at our Dundonald branch but will require you to also work at our main Saltcoats branch. This role will be supporting a team of Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses, assisting with reception tasks and welcoming all clients and patients into the practice.

The role at our Dundonald branch is a sole charge receptionist role. You will work alongside either a vet or a nurse whilst they have their consultations at this branch practice during it’s morning and afternoon opening hours.

A full, manual driving license is essential as you will be required to drive our van to transport animals to and from our Saltcoats branch before and after they have surgery.

You will have gained previous customer service experience, ideally working within an animal care environment. Experience required in all reception duties including: answering phones, booking and rescheduling appointments, handling enquiries, meeting and greeting clients, taking payments, admin duties as well as assisting the vets and vet nurses where required. This role requires a degree of compassion and the ability to use your own initiative is essential.

As an enthusiastic and outgoing individual, you will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as high standards of customer care.

The position is for 30 hours per week worked as 3,10 hour shifts Monday - Wednesday. You will be on a 1 in 6 weekend rota.

- Veterinary Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer Service: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
