**Role Overview**
The Compliance Officer is a key member of the Compliance team, ensuring that the regulated firms meet their prescribed responsibilities. Compliance is a dynamic field that requires individuals to stay updated with the latest regulations, industry trends, and best practices. This makes work challenging and intellectually stimulating, as you will need to analyse and interpret regulations, assess business practices, and develop strategies to mitigate compliance risks. This is a stimulating and rewarding work environment for individuals who enjoy solving complex problems.
Support with the development of the groups Compliance Monitoring strategy with responsibilities including:
- Responsible for monitoring calls to ensure they meet the company’s standards.
- Responsible for the design of monitoring scorecards
- Effectively identify and escalate all potential non-Compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct trend analysis of monitoring results on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Provide general compliance advice with a particular focus on the Asset and Vehicle divisions with responsibilities including:
- Financial Promotion sign off.
- A general compliance advisory service.
Provide support to the MLRO with routine PEPs and Sanctions screening.
Provide secondary or continuity support for identified responsibilities led by another member of the team including:
- Vulnerable Customers.
- Complaints.
Maintain standard operating processes for core responsibilities.
Maintain policies and processes for staff and other third parties that fully reflect all legal and regulatory requirements for areas of core responsibility.
**About You**
**Knowledge**
- Understanding of the FCA.
- Knowledge of internal systems and processes in either Collections or Sales Support.
**Skills**
- Possess high levels of written and verbal communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- High attention to detail, with structured problem-solving approach.
**Experience**
- Monitoring experience is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of the Sentinel or Quotevine is preferred but not essential.
- Experience working in Collections or Sales Support is preferred but not essential.
