Wealth Operations Settlements Manager

A provider of software and software-enabled services for the global financial services industry are looking to add a Wealth Operations Settlements Manager.
The role of the Settlements manager is to lead the Settlements team and ensure that trade Settlement plus all relating activities are complete in a timely fashion. You will be responsible for ensuring that operating procedures are fit for purpose and Operationalrisk is managed and mapped through sufficient controls. The role is critical to SLA’s and KPI’s therefore requires initiative and good communication at a technical level. Working as part of a small team the role will report to the Operations Director.
**Responsibilities**
- Settlement of all market deals directly with market and/or sub-custodians.
- Monitoring failed trades and provide failed trade reporting.
- Monitor settlement performance and provide regular MI and statistics.
- Ensure day to day Operational procedures are comprehensive, adequately documented, communicated and adhered to.
- Manage Operational risk through a controls and escalation procedure
- Identify and satisfy training requirements of direct reports. Develop a culture of performance management, improvement and appraisal.
- Run regular 1-2-1 meetings and performance reviews. Setting and communicating Performance.
- Identify, oversee and implement service improvements and projects.
