Pa/ Companion Required to Work with Gent in S8

**Job description**
IBK are working with a family who are seeking to recruit a patient and gentle PA to work with their son who has autism and is in his 20's. The focus of the support is to support the young person to develop his independent living skills and to take part in activities he enjoys.
The young person is a quiet, friendly and gentle personality. He is very talented at animation and also enjoys sci fi, trains, snooker and going to the cinema. He needs a PA who will listen to him, engage him and support him with any anxieties he may be having.
The hours are very flexible and can work around the PA and the young person.
**Essential**
- Willing to learn from the young person and his family
- Be friendly, reliable, and honest; and maintain confidentiality
- Be respectful in the family-home
- Be creative and confident in your personal approach to involving the gent in new opportunities
- Have a genuine desire to enhance the person’s life and boost their self confidence
**Desirable**
- An understanding of the nature of this type of support work
- Experience and understanding of autism
- You may have interests, hobbies and skills you could share with the young person
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 4 per week
**Salary**: £10.00 per hour
