**About the Role**:
At AMS, talent is our world. Our Insights & Intelligence (I&I) team are experts in data and analytics. Our purpose is simple, to understand our clients’ needs and use this understanding, combined knowledge, and expertise to find, process, and analyse complex datasets to inform talent acquisition teams. We value user experience and ensure we’re supporting people in making hiring decisions with intelligence they can trust.

As the Insights and Intelligence function is established, the accountabilities and responsibilities of the Head of Data Strategy will evolve as the business matures.

**Performance Outcomes / Accountabilities**:

- Design, delivery, and execution of our Data Strategy, including development and deployment of strategic roadmaps for data enablement, excellence, and evolution (eg data governance, implementation, and continuous improvement)
- Development of innovative, new services and ways of working through tools, technology, and data enablement roadmaps (e.g., data acquisition methodology, data literacy educational content, continuous improvement productivity gains, etc)
- Collaborate with AMS colleagues to drive effective deployment and adoption of data strategy with internal I&I teams to deliver on data-related expectations and advise on recommended approach or considerations
- Supports data acquisition and business development opportunities through collaboration with Digital Products, Compliance, Innovation teams and peers
- Highly motivated and engaged team, measured by targeted year-on-year improvement in EVM engagement survey results, within the Data Strategy team and broader I&I community
- Succession, development, and retention plans in place and actioned (as appropriate)
- Achieve annual % voluntary attrition target
- Works in partnership with Digital Products, Implementation, Innovation, and Compliance to design, build and drive initiatives to optimise I&I service delivery
- Proactively identify holistic risks to service delivery as a result of evolution of strategy and partner on mitigation plans and early resolution with internal and external stakeholders
- Key point of contact for Data Strategy team and wider I&I, overseeing or contributing to escalation or problem solutioning, providing necessary advise and communicating expertise with key stakeholders if required
- Works in partnership with I&I Hub teams to design, build and foster a culture of consistent qualitative and quantitative standards in operational delivery
- Support the MD of I&I in setting strategic direction for our data strategy, actively contributing to the overall continuous improvement and elevation of I&I delivery to internal and client stakeholders.
- Strategic, trusted partner to internal stakeholders supporting and advising on data strategy
- Partner with internal leaders in new business activity and implementations
- Financial targets met with any variances anticipated, signalled, and aligned resolution in place
- Responsible for forecasting and budgeting for function and development of any business cases

**Key Responsibilities and Activities**:

- Provide thought leadership, market insight and education around data enablement to create data governance and continuous improvement roadmaps, setting standards and identifying opportunities to evolve market leading client solutions
- Partner with the I&I Leadership Team to provide guidance and insight that will enable AMS and clients to be successful in data-related initiatives
- Partner with Digital Products, Compliance, and Innovation teams, challenging the status quo to evolve and execute data-led tools, technologies, and initiatives, developing technology roadmap and innovation opportunities, including AMS One as appropriate
- Partner with Implementation, and I&I Hub leadership to understand client priorities to inform continuous improvement and support adoption of standardised services
- Design, build and evolve strategies for services or products such as, Data Playbook, continuous improvement roadmaps, or implementation processes
- Lead and manage a small team of Data Strategy experts supporting I&I team activity
- Support the development of AMS talent for the future through a robust methodology for hiring, performance management, continuous development, wellbeing, inclusion, engagement and retention - make I&I a great place to work
