My client is a large private equity firm that focuses on investment in renewable energy programmes. They are looking for an ESG Associate to start as soon as possible.
You will be responsible for overseeing and implementing ESG policies and procedures, as well as reviewing and appraising the Company's investment strategy. You will also be responsible for reviewing the policies of service providers to ensure compliance withthe fund's policies.
Previous experience working with the SFDR, PRI and TCFD frameworks would be highly advantageous.
Main ESG Functions and Responsibilities
- Reporting against relevant ESG frameworks (TCFD, SFDR, PRI)
- To keep well informed of regulatory changes regarding ESG for the investment manager and the listed fund.
- Be proactive in improving and implementing the manager's ESG strategy. This will involve working with ESG consultants to identify critical social and environmental impacts and risks to investment strategies.
- Provide technical expertise on critical issues related to environmental and social impact assessment and on sustainability risks in the design, preparation, implementation and supervision of investments and operations, taking into consideration best industrypractices and standards
