We’re looking for a Admissions, Transitions and Careers co-ordinator at Ashcroft

**What to expect**
- You’ll support the completion of transition plans at a meeting where all of those involved in the pupil's transition map out their roles and responsibilities.
- You’ll support the admissions and transition processes
- You’ll support the transitions process so they are gradual, involving taster days and visits to & from employers or educational providers.
- You’ll prepare pupils by addressing concerns and encouraging visits to the new settings.
- You’ll ensure the destinations of young people from the school are tracked and that this information is used to improve the effectiveness of the school’s careers programme and curriculum as a whole.
- You’ll work with other professionals and families to ensure that they have a clear knowledge and understanding of the options available and the next steps of the process for transition.
- You’ll be the key link for sharing information with receiving settings.
- You’ll work with parents and carers, using a consistent approach between home and school.
- You’ll work with other professionals to create clear pathways and opportunities towards apprenticeships, traineeships, supported internships and further education placements.
- You’ll identify those pupils at risk of becoming NEET and work with them in order to support successful post 16/18 transitions.
- You’ll support pupils and families with the transitions between Ashcroft’s own services.
- You’ll support the admissions and consultation processes

**About you**

We’re looking for someone who has:

- 5 GCSEs including grade 4 and above in Maths and English
- The ability to work with accuracy when recording, sharing or reporting information
- strong understanding and belief that all behaviour is a means of communication
- A solid knowledge and understanding of the SEN Code of Practice
- Knowledge of Gatsby Benchmarks
- Comfortable working alone with vulnerable young people
- Comfortable working in family homes with parents and young people
- prepared to drive themselves and young people between destinations
