Housing Support Supervisor- Ukraine Support

This role will support the Housing Needs Team Leader to develop, refine and deliver support and housing solutions for participants in the Homes for Ukraine Scheme.
This role has a strong focus upon supporting hosts and their guests to secure sustainable housing solutions. The role will also require interpretation of new policy and guidance to help develop internal procedures for service delivery, and the day-to-day managementof a small team.
**Main duties and responsibilities**:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the Ukraine Support Team the day-to-day supervision of employees within your team, including the management of annual leave, annualised hours, sickness and expenses claims
- Role to lead rematching and move on duties and update government database
- Develop a problem-solving approach towards housing needs and homelessness of Ukraine households
- Have a detailed understanding of the 1996 Housing Act (Parts VI and VII); the 2017 Homelessness Reduction Act; tenancy law and other legislation relevant to housing need and homelessness and provide support to the Ukrainian Housing Case Worker
- Lead on complex homeless cases
- Collate data and compile reports as required
- lead rematching and move on duties and include rematching on government database.
- Attend meetings in relation to Homes for Ukraine for the Housing Needs Team Leader and Housing Needs Manager and provide clear feedback.
The duties may vary from time to time without changing the nature of the post or the level of responsibility, and the post holder may also be required to carry out any other duties appropriate to the grading of the post.

**Your essential qualifications**:
- educated to degree level or equivalent, or equivalent level of experience

**Salary**: Grade 7 - £43,191 to £48,117
**Contract**: 12 month fixed term contract with option to extend
**Hours per week**: 37 - some evening and weekend work may be occasionally required
**Location**: Hybrid - home, on district and Council Offices 135 Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxfordshire OX14 4SB/ Abbey House, Abbey Close, Abingdon OX14 3JE as required.
