Whether it’s due to homelessness or poor mental health, the number of people experiencing a crisis is on the rise. Connection Support believes in a future where people are free from crisis. But for the times when crises do happen, we’ll be there to help every step of the way.

Our supported accommodation service in Milton Keynes, offers short-term supported accommodation for a period of 28-days to people who are homeless. The service provides wrap-around support so people can gain the skills and confidence they need to live independently.

We are currently recruiting Bank Support Workers to join our team.

**The impact you will have.**

Working as part of a team, you will support adults aged 18 + to access services and resources that will enable them to move onto sustainable accommodation and live independently

This could include accessing housing options, benefits, tenancy related information, paid employment, education, training, food banks, mental health support, substance misuse services or any other service that supports clients to live independently. In addition, you will support in developing skills around budgeting, paying bills.

You will also encourage connecting and building appropriate networks within the local community, and, where possible, re-establish and reconnect with family and friends.

This post is a zero hour contract and would suit people who want to work on an Adhoc basis, want to top up their income, or work alongside their studies.

Shifts are a mixture of days, evenings and nights.

**Salary**: £13.16- to £14.35 per hour, dependent on experience.

**Closing date**: Friday 23rd May.

**Interviews**:Thursday 29th May at our Bletchley office.

**What we need from you.**

You will need to have experience of supporting vulnerable adults who are homeless with issues such as mental health, substance misuse, or offending. Ideally, you will have a good understanding of the housing and benefits system.

You’re an excellent communicator who finds it easy to build connections with a diverse range of people. You understand that each person is different, so a flexible individualised approach is what’s needed to motivate and encourage people.

Due to the community element of this role, a driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is preferred.
