IBK are working with a young lady who would like to recruit a Personal Assistant to spend time with after college or on a weekend. This young lady has a learning difficulty, she can need help with her anxiety at times but in general she loves her life and has lots of engaging things to do throughout her week.
The focus of the role will be to be at her home in S11 for when this young lady gets home from College. At home you may support her to prepare a simple meal, encourage her to do some homework or practice on her piano. If she has had a tiring day she may also just want to relax in her bedroom.
Plus, if you are free sometime on a weekend, it would be great if together you could plan a cinema trip or a shopping adventure into town
**Essential**
Willing to learn from the young person and their family.
Be friendly, reliable, and honest; and maintain confidentiality.
Be respectful in the family home.
Be creative and confident in your personal approach to involving the lady in all decision making
A happy and positive nature
**Desirable**
Experience and understanding of learning difficulties and anxiety
Having interests, hobbies and skills you could share with the young person
A car driver with use of a car and a clean licence.
Hours: 3pm-6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays or weekend
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 9 per week
**Salary**: £9.50 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Weekend availability
