**Role Responsibilities - Purchasing Administrator**:
- Order processing; creating works orders, valuation of materials and identifying facer offcuts
- Assisting the Purchasing Manager in all month-end routines including stock counting
- Collating all delivery notes and ensuring they match the relevant purchase order
- Tracking purchase orders and checking order acknowledgements
- Placing purchase orders for sundry stock items
- Creating declarations for all imports received using our freight forwarder’s portal system
- Communicating the consignment details to the supplier to permit entry into the UK
- Completing all works orders for finished goods
- Maintaining purchasing files and documentation in both paper and electronic format
**Person specification - Purchasing Administrator**:
- Able to prioritise your own work and work on your own initiative
- A flexible approach to work recognising that priorities can change
- A good working knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook and Office
- Good numeracy skills and confidence in handling figures
- A diligent accurate approach and desire to check work
- A good communicator, both verbally and written
- Able to work independently and within a team
- An appreciation of the importance of this role in relation to the business, colleagues and external customers
**Terms of role**:
- Monday to Thursday, 8.15am - 5.00pm and Friday, 8.15am to 1.00pm - with Friday afternoons off. 37.75 hour working week, with a 30-minute lunchbreak.
