As a Work Experience & Placement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving our college’s engagement with employers to secure high-quality work experience and industry placements for our 16-18-year-old students, including those on T-level study programmes. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in business development, sales, or employer engagement, who is eager to make an impact on students' futures and help bridge the gap between education and the workplace.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Source and secure suitable work experience and placement opportunities by liaising with employers and matching students accordingly
- Manage a caseload of 16-18-year-old students, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and delivery of work experience and T-level industry placements
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with employers, curriculum teams, students, and college support services to ensure smooth placement operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employers and curriculum teams for placement-related queries and support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employer contacts, placement opportunities, and student progress using the College’s CRM system.

**Essential skills and experience**
- Proven experience in sourcing and coordinating work experience or industry placement opportunities
- Proven experience in sourcing and securing new employers for work placements, apprenticeships, or work-related projects.
- Ability to identify and assess potential business opportunities, establish new employer partnerships, and expand the college’s network of industry partners
- Ability to influence and engage employers by clearly communicating the value of student placements and related programmes.
- Strong presentation and persuasion skills to effectively pitch the benefits of partnerships to new employers.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of T-level programmes, related funding, and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to set and achieve business development goals, including expanding employer networks and increasing the number of placement opportunities.
