Inventory Manager
Location: Derby

**Salary**: £40-45,000 + 6k Car Allowance + other attractive benefits
Supporting the Operations and General Managers to drive exemplary service levels for contract retention and growth.
You will be responsible for leading the stock/inventory team (approx. 10-12) at both Derby and a site within the West Midlands by implementing best practice and standardisation on Inventory & Stock management across the account. In addition, you will activelyengage in customer forums to identify improvements to enhance the customer experience, drive customer retention and growth. The role should co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of the stock control team, providing effective communication,leadership, motivation, training and development.
**Duties**:
Build strong business relationships at all levels maintaining open and transparent lines of communication.
Develop stock metric suites to accurately record data which aligns to contractual measures, whilst standardising across the business.
Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of stock identifying root cause and pro-actively work with cross functional teams for issue resolution.
Pick face management
Part pallet management within the warehouse
Obsolete stock reviews undertaken and quality held stock is actioned
Participate in engagement programmes to develop new ways of working and improve the customer experience
Support the operational management to reinvigorate existing relationships for contract retention and organic growth.
Demonstrate high levels of resilience and the ability to bring exceptional results.
Ensure the teams training matrix is up to date and that there are sufficient colleagues trained to cover all sites
Recruit, build, manage and develop a team of motivated colleagues to maximize performance across the Unilever business.
Skills & Experience Required:
Excellent relationship building and inter-personal skills in dealing with all levels internally and externally
Minimum 3 years Inventory & Stock management experience
Proven experience of working in a challenging environment
Excellent analytical numerical and IT skills
Effective people management skills, the ability to develop the customer services team
