We are seeking a **Student Support Specialist** to join our team and play a key role in ensuring smooth school operations while strengthening our relationships with parents. As our Student Support Specialist, you will be crucial in ensuring that both parents and educators feel supported and engaged within our school community.

You will develop and implement strategies to address the needs of parents and educators, ensuring efficient operations and fostering positive relationships. Your role will focus on establishing and maintaining communication for mutual understanding and cooperation between our school and families, addressing any challenges that arise, and working closely with parents to understand and improve their experience. Additionally, you will facilitate effective interactions to support parent involvement in the school.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Administrative Support**: Provide comprehensive support to school leaders, including managing schedules, organizing meetings, and handling tasks related to student enrollment, record-keeping, finance management, transcript assistance, and communication with stakeholders.
- **Parent Engagement**: Build and maintain positive relationships between the school and parents. Act as a liaison to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure parents are well-informed and involved in their child’s education.
- **Communication Management**: Oversee and contribute to communication channels between school leadership, parents, and teachers. Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and other communication platforms to manage and streamline interactions.
- **Conflict Resolution**: Maintain composure and professionalism when navigating difficult conversations with parents, using strong communication skills to resolve situations and ensure positive outcomes.
- **Support Services**: Collaborate with school assistant principals to address specific needs or concerns regarding the student academic journey.
- **Feedback and Improvement**: Gather and analyze feedback from parents to identify areas for improvement. Implement strategies to enhance the overall parent experience and tackle emerging challenges.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in school administration, the mental health sector, human resources, or customer support is preferred.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and other communication platforms is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with high-volume phone communication.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and de-escalate challenging situations with grace and a customer-centric approach.

**Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm EST

**Job Type**: Freelance

Pay: £10.00-£11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
